Yes, it’s possible to retrieve some previously-deleted data

We’ve all been there – you are working on your Mac or iPhone and you delete some data (or didn’t realize you did), and now that all-important data is gone!
Apple’s iCloud service now offers users the ability to retrieve some previously-deleted data from their servers. This includes 30-day recovery of iCloud Drive files from your Desktop or Documents folder. Similarly you can restore deleted Contacts or Calendar entries, along with Bookmarks from your Safari browser.
Once you log in to www.icloud.com, at the bottom of the page, you’ll see an entry, “Data Recovery.”
Or you can just use the link, https://www.icloud.com/recovery/

Any cause for concern?
Choosing one of these restore methods will usually replace the current dataset for you, so you’ll want to make sure you have backups before you begin in case something goes awry.
